I had a few friends try it and they did fine despite clearly having a lot to learn. There is a lot of complexity, a high skill ceiling, and a learning curve for champions, but the mechanics of the game itself are not that difficult and the skill floor is pretty low. You can get away with doing a lot just with LMB, RMB and maybe 1 or 2 other abilities. Like in any game, matchmaking is meant for you to play against people around your level, so then it comes down to the actual mechanics which aren't as difficult as everyone here seems to believe. Imo BR is really fun and you will enjoy your time. I can definitely understand that the community is mad but please give SLS a new chance. And I can really understand not everyone want to wait so long. The expension will come but it takes some time. Think like they are at the end of the game and really need an expension. People who are the old veterans already have so much experience. If you are recently joined the game there is enough gameplay for you to explore. SLS really loves the community and I'm sure they wont disappoint us as players. But I still have hope that after BRBR they will be going further with arena. I think that they are partly correct, since SLS is currently not really adding things to BR arena. The thing is that people are scared that SLS wont update the game and wont do things for the community.
